The title 'Code-Based' carries a double meaning. One refers to the fact that the work is constructed through programming code. The other points to the way the cultural 'code' of Christmas—a system of norms and symbols—is reinterpreted by algorithms.
This work connects the collective memory of Christmas with the physicality of the individual through the technology of real-time processing. In the moment when surveillance technology transforms into an artistic experience, new forms of participation, expression, and festivity emerge within the digital age.
It is a Christmas woven by code—and at the same time, a critical festive space that reexamines how we engage with the world through technology.
