'Generate Sound Sculpture' is an internet art piece composed of geometric 3D objects floating on a minimal black background and a simple play button. As the title suggests, the work attempts to fuse sound and visual sculpture, pursuing a new form of expression that combines visual and auditory elements in digital space.
The piece adopts a simple interface, encouraging intuitive operation by the user. The centrally placed geometric structure evokes the influence of modernist sculpture while also possessing the angular texture unique to digital media. The play button is clearly visible and functions as a gateway to an interactive experience.
Technically, it combines 3D technologies such as WebGL and Three.js with the Web Audio API, enabling complex 3D visuals and sonic experiences within the browser.
The most intriguing aspect of this work is its attempt to redefine the concept of 'sculpture,' which traditionally lacks physical substance, in the digital realm.
